Hi,

Origin 7.5 SR1.

I have a project that contains a string dataset eg

Create Addmacros -s 1;
AddMacros[1]$="TestMacros";

When the project is reopened and this code is run again, I get a message : Type of AddMacros has been cganged to categorical.

What is going on here (why does this message appear) and what are the consequences?

Cheers,

Pete

Hi Pete,

I can't reproduce that with the steps you described. Does it happen in any project in which you use the code or just a particular project?

This is because create -s will add the new dataset into the current graph, even though it really didn't make sense to do so. Tracker as 5792 and will be fixed in SR2, which we expect will be within the month.

Hi CP,

Thanks for explanation.
Generally, any datasets I create I never want to plot to graph, preferring to do this separately via layer..

Cheers,

Pete
