Hi,

I am looking to use Origin for processing of large datasets. Basically I have a bunch of spectra for which I need to perform peakanalysis over a defined x-range. I think I am fine with the atch analysis part, but I am not sure what script should be used to select the x-range to perform the analysis on.

Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Martin,

You can perform peak analysis with large datasets and select an x-range by using the Peak Analyzer dialog. Below is a link to our Peak Analysis tutorial. Depending on your goal for using Peak Analysis you may want to select a different option other than Integrate Peaks which is what is shown in the tutorial. Located on the Goal-Find Peaks step of the Peak Analyzer dialog, you can specify an x-range to perform Peak Analysis under Input --> Range 1 --> Rows. Select By X and input your x-range.

You will also want to save the analysis theme created to conduct Batch processing. In the Theme Save as dialog box, you can Select Save X/Row Range box if you want to save the x-range setting for future analysis. Below is a link to another video tutorial that describes how to create a saved analysis theme for Batch importing and how to use the Batch processing for large datasets.
