Hi Alex,

I tried this problem with GrSr3,before online updating origin version, all Help files work fine. After online updating origin version, get a patch.exe file, then run patch and patch GrSr3 to GrSr4. Check Help file, they all work fine. Could you give more details to us?

Thanks,
Linda

Hi Alex,

Here are a couple of things that you can try:

Browse to the non-functioning Help files using Windows Explorer and make note of their file sizes. If you are running English Origin on English Windows or German Origin on German Windows, the Help files -- they have a .CHM file type -- will be in the \Help folder of your Origin folder. If you are using German Origin on English Windows, the .CHM files will be in the \Localization\English folder of your Origin folder. If you see any 0 or 1 KB files, then that would indicate a bad download. I would delete any of these files and rerun Check for Updates from the Origin Help menu.

If the .CHM files have a credible file size (> 1 KB), try to run the problem file(s) by double-clicking on them. If the problem file opens, we know that the problem is in Origin itself. If the file DOES NOT open, it is a bad file. Again, you should delete the file and rerun Check for Updates.

Let me know what you see. Thanks.

Hi Mike,

I looked up the files and they all had 1 KB in size. After
downloading the specific help files separately it works !

Thanks
