Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): OriginPro 8.5
Operating System: Windows 7

Hi forum, I'm completely lost and need help

In the picture ONE u can see my Graph, it contains like 2000+ XY input data, so the curve has fluctuations and I need to make it smoother, but "Smooth" tool is somehow broken (second picture), maybe due to big amount of input data and I have no clue how to fix it. I tried to reselect data from graph, but still nothing work, so I end here... pls HAAALP

Hi,

Have you tried to select the data from the worksheet directly?

You can click the triangle button at the end of Input item, and then select Reset in the flyout. Next, click the Select Range button next to the triangle button, and then go and select the data in the source worksheet.

Does it work? If not, please send you data to tech@originlab.com, so we can do further check.

Regards,
Yuki

Note that smooth method should be used in Numeric, Time and Date format. Please check the properties of data range at first.

Thx a lot for your suggestions, I finally managed to do it.

First of all, I changed in the worksheet the Date data to numeric values from 1 to 2158, then used "Smooth" tool (this time worked perfectly) and at the end just replaced numeric value labels with manualy written Date text fields. Check below.

THX once more.
