Hi,

Is it possible that I can add a undo/redo button, just like in the Microsoft Office. It will be very convenient to have these two buttons.
Another thing is when I copy the graph into the Word or Powerpoint, is it possible that I can lock the graph, so other people can only read the graph without editing the graph and without reading the data ?

By the way, thanks for helping me on the random xyz matrix conversion.

Hi MacLand:

Origin has an Edit:Undo menu item, though, admittedly, its functionality is limited. Unfortunately, this is the best that we can do at this time.

When you insert an Origin graph into Word or PowerPoint, you either insert it as editable object -- in which case there must be access to the supporting data -- or you insert it as a picture -- in which case the graph is a static "snapshot" and contains no information about the supporting data.

If you simply want to insert the graph as an uneditable (in Origin, anyway) picture, do a Copy Page in Origin and an Edit:Paste Special >>Bitmap in Word/PowerPoint. Alternately, export from Origin as a graphics file (BMP, WMF, etc) and Insert:Picture in Word/PowerPoint.

However, I am guessing that you would like to be able to insert your Origin graph in another application as an editable object, but then "lock" the object so that it can't be edited by anyone but you. Unfortunately, there is no way to do this.

I have started using Origin 7.5 but am quite appalled at how poor this software is. It reminds me of Windows 3.1 and software of that era. Undo is almost useless.
