I would like to visualize trajectories (=lines) on a sphere. To this end I need to draw a sphere of radius=1 using a net of latitudes and longitudes. Furthermore, it will be helpful to draw the trajectory by using polar coordinates.
Is it possible by writing an OC program to calculate the corresponding x,y,z-values, using the calculated triples [(x,y,z)-values], converting these values to a matrix and plot the whole sphere? In a second step the triples (x,y,z) of the trajectory will be converted to a second matrix, too. How can I manage to visualize both the sphere including the net of latitudes and longitudes and the trajectory?

Carsten
