Does anyone know how to solve a cubic equation in origin equation editor, or any help on writing code to solve the cubic in C.

We do not want the coefficients of the polynomial to be parameters. We are trying to solve for x.

There is an add-on module for Origin 7.5 called "Finding Roots of Equations"...
