Hi everybody,

While fitting, the fitted function is showed on the graph basing on a worksheet that has 60 points.
I want to change this value. Let's say from 60 to 600.
After some searching, I think that this is defined in th NLSF.CNF function ([NLSF Control] section):
FITNPTS=60

1. Am I right? Exchanging 60 into 600 in this line will work?
2. After changing this line nothing happens :(
Do I have to rebuild / recompile something?
Or maybe press a special button labeled "The NLSF.CNF file was changed"? ;)
Don't worry. After changing the file, I pressed save button :))) I also restarted the Origin.

Regards, Chris L.

You can change that by
Analysis : Non-Linear Curve Fitting
Advanced Fitting Tools

Inside this dailog
Script
After Fit

There is a box with # Points

You are also right about the FITNPTS, but you need to change the NLSF.ini in your User Files folder. There are usually two folders with settings files, one is the EXE folder where Origin is installed, but when you make a change from dialogs etc, the updated settings are saved into your User Files folder, so that when more then one user are using Origin on the same computer, each person can have his or her own settings.

You can do a search of NLSF.ini on your computer to see which one is more recent and that is the one you should modify.
