Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 7,5GSR2
Operating System: Windows

Hello,

Is it possible to fit data using a user defined function in the form of:
f(x,y)= a+bx+cy+d*x^2+e*y^2+...

I couldn´t find any way of doing this with the advanced fitting tool nor the fitting wizard!

Hi Ioana,

It is possible to fit such an equation with the NLSF tool in Origin - this is an issue of fitting with multiple independent variables. The only shortcoming is that a surface plot of the data and the fit surface is not automatically created, but the fit parameters will be correct.
