Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 6.0
Operating System: Win 2000;

Hi, everyone,

I am using Origin 6.0 and recently run into a problem with exporting images.

1) Although I have 7,000 data points for a curve, the image exported at 300 dpi, in TIF format, still has some jaggies.In consideration of the page size (14X11 inch)and the resolution, obviously it shall not be jagged. It is confusing that when I fed these data into Sigmaplot 9.0 (the 30day trial version), the curve exported appeared to be largely free of jaggies when viewed at the same magnifications.

2)In order to solve this, I tried to use higher resolution of 400; it appears that it did not improve the image quality at all, although the file size was larger. When I tried to use even higher resolution of 600 dpi, the Origin just exported a file with size of only 1K, which obviously cannot be opened by any applications, although the exporting process took roughtly 20 min !

So I am wondering if any one knows how to export curves without jaggies, which is important for publication on journals??? I have been used to Origin and really do not want to switch to Sigmaplot.

Thanks a lot.

PS: I have read the message posted by Scott Plotkin, regaing how to export graph, but did not find any answer to this problem.
