Operating System: Win 2000

Hi,

Whilst developing an application my worksheet background which I had set as a colour gradient fill has suddenly started displaying (ie unintentional) a grid. Any idea why and how to switch it off?

View -> Show Grid (turn it off?)

I do feel a bit of an idiot. Never used this before and kept trying worksheet format options. A question then - when might you want to set to view grid?
