Origin Ver. 2017SR2

I have data which looks like this:
X: monotonic rising
Y: not monotonic rising
~500 points

The "decimation" function allows me to decimate the curve less points, i would need around 10-30 points for my purpose. But it will decimate the data to points with the same X-step gap.
Since my curve is exponentially rising, I need more/denser points at the end of my data.
We have a script in excel which decimates the curve to points with for instance 0.1 step distance between the Y values!
I tried to copy that in Origin. Switching X and Y and using the decimation function does not work, since my Y data is nor monotonic rising.
Can you help me?
Thank you!

Hi,

Would you be willing to send your project file to Tech Support at tech@originlab.com? It would be helpful to be able to take a look at your data.

Thanks
Aviel
