Origin 2017 (64-bit), b9.4.0.220
Operating System: Windows 10

I have some plots from a previous student which contain user-defined fits, however the little box containing equation and parameters that usually appears when you carry out a fitting, has been deleted. I need to know which equation the plots have been fitted to and what the parameters were.

There is also no Nonlinear Curve Fit's Report, only a worksheet containing the actual values of the fit itself. However, because the fit is there it seems the information must be in there somewhere.

I feel like I've tried everything! Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi iesteinmark,

If possible, you can ask your student to check his computer - in "fitfunc" subfolder under
his User Files Folder, there should be .FDF files of the user-defined fit functions.
Install this .FDF file to your computer, and fit the fit result data (which should 100% match!)
to rediscover the parameters.

If you cannot get the FDF file, sorry, but I have no idea to recover the original fit function.
