Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):Origin 8
Operating System:Win8

Hello,

I built the attached function but it did not work. It will only try the initial value and stop optimizing it. Could you please help me fix it? Thanks a lot!

Hi,

You could click the Simulate button in the right panel to see if it could generate the simulated curve. If you could see the curve in the opened dialog, I think the function could work fine as expected. If you don’t satisfied with the fitting result, it may be caused by the wrong step or wrong setting while you perform the nonlinear fitting analysis.

Regards,
Yuki

Hi Yuki,

Thanks for your quick response! The simulation did work, so I am wondering what are "the wrong step or wrong setting" you are referring to.

Best,

Hi,

Did you see any error message when you performed fitting? You could check it in the Messages tab that locates in the bottom panel of NLFit dialog.

Yuki
