Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): Origin Pro 2015
Operating System: Windows 10

Hi everybody!
I have to analyze some data about energy loss of electrons in a thin layer of Silicium. The plot is a convolution of a Landau with a Gauss function.
How can I fit the data? I didn't find a defined function in the fit panel, so I tried to define one by myself but I didn't know the analytic expression.

Can you help me to write this kind of function? And how can I define it in Origin?

Thank you for your help,

Geck

Hi Geck,

Please take a look this tutorial first to see if this is applied to you:
https://www.originlab.com/doc/Tutorials/UserDef-FitFunc

If this is a general function in your research field, you could download Fitting Function Library app and install it:
https://www.originlab.com/fileExchange/details.aspx?fid=490

Then you could click Request a Function button to ask for a new fitting function. Note that please provide the detailed info for the requested function in the form, includes function name, parameters (better with the bounds values for parameters if they have), formula, background and reference.

Regards,
Yuki
