Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System:windows
origin 6.1

I need to fit a complex function, is it possible with this version,

I have the real part and imaginary part in two columns, I plotted on the same graph window, everything seems fine, and i want to fit for example the imaginary part of the plot with the function i want to use, is it possible?

Hello burqkbegen,

If you want to fit imaginary part only, viz, you are dealing with real and imaginary parts independently, you can just

1. Highlight Imaginary column.

2. Analysis -> Nonlinear Curve Fit -> Advanced Fitting Tool.

The advanced fitter has the ability to define your own favorite fitting function. More detailed help can be found in menu: Help -> Origin -> Analysis: Curve Fitting
