Hi,
I would like to plot a graph with two x axis, with the second one linked to the first by a non linear formulae like x2=a*x1^2. But I would like to put the ticks of this second axis where I want and not at the same positions than the x1 ticks.
Can someone help me ?

Hi,
Please first add upper x axis, then make the settings as shown in the figure. Make sure the upper x axis scale range ought to accommodate the lower x axis scale.

I'm not sure to understand what it means. Is it related with the error message "From value exeeds the range of inverse formula" ?
Actually, my formula is a little more complicated : -0,8887+8,03888E-4*x+7,21815E-7*x^2

That means if the x scale of bottom axis is from x1 to x2. Then the upper axis scale should be set to f(x1) to f(x2) where f(x) = -0,8887+8,03888E-4*x+7,21815E-7*x^2

| I think the problem comes from there is a factor 10^30 in my inverse formula and Origin cannot handle it ... |

That should still be within the range that Origin can handle. Please send your project to <tech@originlab.com> and we can check further.

Thank you James, it's working now, I think I reversed inverse and direct formula because it is not intuitive for me that the formula to go from bottom to top axis is the inverse formula...
