Recently have found that when run in Windows 10 (Home edition) both Origin 2019b and 2018b will only start in Administrator mode. In a normal user mode, the window for Origin opens but just flickers continually. It is the same for the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Origin. So is this a new conflict coming from some change in Windows security compared to what had worked before?

Hi mrpmanning,

See this post on Microsoft community:

Perhaps this can help.

Thanks for these responses. But the problem is probably in the way Origin interacts with MS Office. Previously Origin had been installed after MS Office, but have now re-installed MS Office and can start up Origin properly whether or not I am in Admin mode. This suggests the problem is in the Registry somewhere and to do with Origin's connection to Excel.
