How to fill an area on plot

I have a workbook with two columns A(X) and B(Y).
I have plotted the red curve on the plot. The plot type is the 'Line+Symbol'.
As one can see the curve has some self-crossing points and
I need to fill the outside area of the curve.
My attempt: Plot Details -> Line -> Fill area under curve -> Exclusive broken by missing value.
I have problems with the area and axis.
Expected result is:

Hi,
You can fill layer background color with red and then fill “Exclusive broken by missing value” with white.

Amanda, your algorithm is OK only for a curve without self-intersecting points (right), but I have a problem with the left graph that contains self-intersecting points.
