Is it possible to display two legend symbols as one, which is especially useful for refinement. For example, data is displayed as scatter symbols, refine result as line, is it possible to display their legends overlapped?

Origin can do all kinds of tricks. It isn't clear what you are trying to do, but ...

You can plot multiple symbols for a datapoint only by creating duplicate data. Symbols should probably be hollow so that one does not mask another.

The most control over legends is with the full syntax:
\L(O(SymEdgeColor,Sym,Fill,Size,ColorLn,LineStyle,Gap,LnWidth,SymFillColor, EdgeThickness))

but that does not offer drawing one symbol over another.

Sounds so complicated. I just want to display the legend as a line (stands for the refinement) across the symbole (stands for real data), for example, a red line across 2 black hollow circles, what would the property be like?
Thank you.
