Origin: 2020b Operating System: Windows
I have a scatter plot with an x-axis break. The y-axis grid lines continue across the break.
Is than an option that can be set so the grid lines do not continue across the gap? I can get the look I want by placing a white filled rectangle in the gap on top of the grid lines, but hopefully there is a better option.

I hate to say this but think you are out of luck. I myself see no way to break the grid lines.

Your hack with the rect object may be the most practical solution.
