OriginPro 2020b (64-bit) 9.7.5.184
Windows 7 Pro x64 SP1

Greetings!

I have a plot with a few layers.
Recently I noticed that Scale in command accidentally switches the active layer.
Please watch a screen recording showing this effect: https://www.screenpresso.com/=ylyYc

How do I stop this?

Thank you.

Hello,

Does it happen to other graph you created or specific to this graph? Is there script event on that graph?

I tried to create a 5 layer graph similar to yours but failed to reproduce it.

If it's specific to your project, could you email your project to tech@originlab.com?

Best,

No, so far I haven't reproduced the behavior with the newly created graphs.
The graph has no script events.
I will send the project to tech@originlab.com right now.

Hi Andrey,

Thanks. I can reproduce it now with your opju.

It seems layer3 occupied the bottom half of the whole layer and when I select plot e.g. beginning part of curve below 20, it switched to layer 3.

I reported it in ORG-22266 and asked our developer to look.

Thanks, Snow

I don't think we need to change anything as the Scale In tool will switch to the layer you clicked on.

In this case, right-click layer icon and choose

Set Active Layer by Layer Icon Only

will also solve the problem.

To see which layer is where, right-click layer icon and choose

Show Active Layer Only

Maybe we should add MT buttons for these two commands?

How do I prevent Scale In tool to change the active layer?
