Dear Origin Forums,

I'm relatively new to origin and scripting. I'm handling large amounts of data at the moment. There's 7 columns per dataset and approximately 44 datasets per sample and there's a lot of samples!

The image may help here:

My first goal is to have all these columns, extract a column to a new sheet and plot all of one column (e.g. Z'') vs one constant X (therefore have 6 new sheets). Plot a line graph and set it as a certain colour scheme.

My second goal is to extract two columns (e.g. frequency = X and Z) then perform a log function on all of the X and Z numbers or an inverse function (see pic).

I'm very open to learning how everything works as I'm a big supporter of Origin!

Thank you,
Jason

Hi Jason,

1. Please go to menu Worksheet -> Split Worksheet, then make the following settings and click OK.

2. Once you've finished step 1, you can then set column formula and apply the formula to all columns, see below:

You may need to add X column manually. Please send us email at <tech@originlab.com> if you need more work on the project.

James
