Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System:
Hi,
I have extracted data from a linear fit.
I would like to use slope and error to plot a gaussian distributions from 2 groups.
I would like to use slope = mu and error as sigma.
After that I would like to set limits at tails 5% and calculate the area under the curves at 95%. Is there a way for this?
I just found gaussian fits, but I do not have the distribution and I would like to estimate the area.

Hi Claudia,

1. If you would like to plot a gaussian curve, you can use Function Plot. (menu File->New->Function Plot->2D Function Plot...)

2. If you would like to do integration on a known function (Gaussian here), you will need Labtalk script. Check this page:
https://www.originlab.com/doc/LabTalk/ref/Integral-func

To run Labtalk script, go to menu Window->Script Window. Paste the script, highlight all and press Enter.
