Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): OriginPro 2021 (64-bit) 9.8.0.200
Operating System: Windows 10 20H2 (19042.928)

By now we can edit user trees of a folder by "Folder Properties Dialog" (https://www.originlab.com/doc/Origin-Help/Folder-Win-Properties-Dialog#Folder_Properties_dialog), a GUI method, but how to do this by labtalk ? I've googled this for the whole day but found little documents can help. As this release note says(https://www.originlab.com/doc/ReleaseNotes/A1-PE-and-Meta-Data-Improvements#A1-PEandMetaDataImprovements-Window/FolderPropertiesdialog), meta data support for PE folder (Comment, User Tree) since Origin 2015.

So how to access the metadata or user tree of a folder and add or modify these user tree variables by labtalk scripts?

By "Folder Properties Dialog" GUI, the user tree can be added and modified like this:

Hi,

It appears that there is no LabTalk access to these folder properties. There is from Origin C, just not LabTalk.

Thanks for your information. Would the access to these folder properties be available for LabTalk in the future release? Since all the page properties can be access by LabTalk, it looks a liitle weird LabTalk have no access to these folder properties. And LabTalk has more flexibility than Origin C for me.

As we are about to release 2021b, we will work on this next version. I added ORG-23617.

Thanks and really look forward to it, because this feature could make it easy to creat user tree variables binding with folder by LabTalk!
