Is there an option to show ruler along the side (display in cm or inches) of a graph?

Could you try to turn page grid on to see if it fits your need?

Basically click edge of white space to see page mini toolbar. Click the 1st button to turn on page grid or click the Page Grid Settings... there to customize it.
