Hello, I'm new here. The problem is that one of my plot's color bar can't display correctly (like shown below Fig.1). First I thought it was a setting error, but none of the settings seems can solve it. Then I found all 3D-colormap surface plots in my computer shows like this (Fig. 2), while they display correctly on my fellow's PC. Is there recomand way to repair this problem? Thank you
Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): OriginPro 2022 (64-bit) SR1 9.9.0.225 (Home Use)

Hi,
For this strange problem, could you please try clear User Files Folder? That is, 1. Run script below in the Script Window (Window: Script Window) to clear the User Folder path value in registry and then you can reset User Files folder the next time Origin starts. del –path
2. Close Origin.
3. Restart Origin. Specify an empty new folder in your local drive as User Files Folder.

Hi Amanda, thank you for the kind help. But I believe the UFF path value didn't changed after I executed the script, because originlab didn't request me for specifying a new folder when I restarted it. I also tried to run OriginPro X.X Add or Remove Files as written below to repair, but it asked me to import an file called "layout.bin" before the repair process. I've no idea what that is. https://www.originlab.com/doc/Quick-Help/troubleshooting-origin-crash Thank you.
Regards, Jiahao

Hi,
I suggest following:
1.Open User Files Folder by menu Help: Open Folder: User Files Folder
2. Delete the whole folder. If you have customized files saved in UFF (template, theme, etc.), please backup them before deleting.
3. Download Origin lasted version from below and install: https://www.originlab.com/demodownload_ext.aspx?d=1&s=C
4. Try any 3D graph with colormap, see if the color scale works fine.
Thanks, Amanda OriginLab Technical Service

Thank you, I followed these steps. But seems the problem is still there. I'm wondering if this is because my PC doesn't have a graphic card. But all plots worked fine until this week.

Thank you so much for helping me, I just tried to check and uncheck those OpenGL settings as you said, and noting happened. Then I reinstalled the Origin 2023 again. But the color bar was still in black, also the layer number (I suppose) in the plot.

Hi,
Could you please try to update the driver of graphics card? You can open Device Manager. Expand Display Adapters. Right-click the graphics card and select Update drivers.

Hi
Origin 2023b is available!
Some new features are supported, or issues are fixed.
The issue "Strange color block showed on graph" has been fixed in this version.
Please download Origin 2023b from the link below, install and try it. http://www.originlab.com/demodownload.aspx
Any suggestion will be appreciated!
Best regards, Jacqueline He OriginLab
