Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System:
Dear all. Hope you are doing well. I installed my originLab software and I am trying to do an FTIR graph but with any data I tried, my graph appears like a line. I copy and paste data from an excel file as my data are provided in .CSV. Y axis should be from 0 to 110 and X-axis will represent the wavelength. I do not understand why I cannot see the spectrum as I could using the same data in excel. May anyone help me to check which properties I need to modify in the axis to be able to plot correctly? Thank you. I upload the image.

There is no attachment.
Could you let us know which version of Origin you are using and also share the project file or csv data.

Thanks, Snow

I upload the file and an external window appears to upload the file. I apologize if cannot be seen. Also, now I upload one of the .CSV data.
Hope you can see it.

Thank you.

Thanks for the attachment and image. It looks line graph. Could you let me know what menu or toolbar did u use to plot it?

Usually Origin decides axis range based on data.
E.g.
I drag and drop the csv into Origin. Highlight B and plot a line graph. The Y axis range is from from 91.5 to 101. X is from 0 to 4500.
U can double click axis to adjust the From and to values.

If you are sure the axis range doesn't match data, is it possible that you used some user-defined graph template which has fixed axis range?

Could you also check F7 and on Graph tab, what graph theme is set to system theme (bold one)?

Thanks, Snow

Maybe your X column was set as (Y)?

if the column is set as (X), it will not be plotted as Y data.
When u select it with subsequent (Y) columns, they will be plotted against the (X) column.

Thanks, Snow
