Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 2021b
Operating System: Windows 10

Is there a way to display the average of each column on a graph? I understand that it is possible to use the statistics tab to calculate the average of each column in a workbook and it then reports the results to a new worksheet. However, I would like for the average of each line in a scatterplot to have its average displayed on the graph, perhaps in the figure legend or next to each line. Is this possible? I would like for this to be done automatically rather than calculating the average and then placing it in the figure legend or on the graph manually.

Hi,
There is no way to automatically show average of each plot. But you can try following simple steps:
1. in source worksheet, right click long name row, select Insert: User Parameters. In Dialog, select Mean from formula fly-out button.
2. Open Plot Details dialog with graph, go to Legend/Title tab, set Translation Mode to Custom, set Legend Custom Format to @LM - @LD1(assume original setting is @LM, Mean is 1st user parameter).

Thanks
Cecilia
