Hi,

I fitted my peaks using Peak Analyzer with Pearson VII function. The fitting report gave the parameters like y0, xc, A, w. In Gauss, I know w=2*sigma. However, how can I get the standard deviation(sigma) in Pearson VII?

Compare the peak function to its corresponding distribution function, the sigma should equal to w/(2*sqrt(2^(1/mu)-1)). Please refer to the pages below:
