Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): Operating System:
As the title says , i would like to plot a grid plot but want the squares to show. i can see that origin has that option automatically turned on. I can even turn it to 0. the plots i have all have the smoothening effect which i do not want. |

Hi,
Are you creating a 3D wireframe graph? By default, smoothing is disabled for this graph template. Could you please provide more details about the graph type and which setting you have set to 0? Thank you.

The plot is a 2d contour plot that I did using grid calculus . It has also a color bar so it's a 3d plot. In the color mapping tab , there's a smoothing option with default values that you can change. But i want to see all the squares from the contour plot , so I'd rather not have the smooth option by default . I hope this makes sense . Thank you so much . |

Could you please try unchecking the 'Smooth' checkbox to turn off the smoothing effect? But even if the smoothing is turned off, the graph should not display squares. Is it possible that you are referring to a heatmap graph? Could you please provide a screenshot of the expected graph display for better understanding?

OK, you can use heatmap template to draw the same graph.
To remove the space between the plot and the x-axis, you could double-click on the axis, and in the Scale tab, set the axis From and To values to -20 and 20 respectively. Do the same for the y-axis.
