Hi Liam,
There are multiple approaches to creating additional axes (some of which have been implemented after your version of Origin, so keep that in mind when reviewing the documentation). Edit: I was able to find the Origin 9 tutorial on this matter for you: https://www.originlab.com/pdfs/tutorials.pdf#page=439
I also notice that you linked to a post on the forum as the only support you found. Keep in mind that in the bottom-left corner of Origin, there is a Start Menu button that allows you to search our FAQs, Documentation, Tutorials Videos (and more!) directly within Origin.
That being said, I can certainly assist you with your specific scenario. However, it is hard to understand what your data looks like and how you would like to structure your graph from just the picture you provided. Can you provide more information, like your .opju file (compress to .zip before uploading) and a picture of the type of graph you would like to make?
In the meantime, here are some resources we have uploaded that may also provide you with a solution: - FAQ-112 How to add second X or Y axis | https://www.originlab.com/doc/Quick-Help/2nd-nonlinear-axis - Blog: Creating a Neat Double-X Graph | https://blog.originlab.com/how-to-make-a-neat-double-x-graph - Origin User Manual: Double-Y Graph | https://www.originlab.com/doc/Origin-Help/Double-Y-Graph (*) - This page goes into a LOT of detail, but if all else fails this explains how to build a graph with basically any combination of axes: https://www.originlab.com/doc/User-Guide/Graphing#Plotting_without_Using_Column_Plot_Designations
Origin also offers a variety of multi-panel plot types that are not an option in Excel. Depending on what trends you are interested in, one of these may be a good way to visualize your data. Here are just a couple examples: - Stack Graph | https://www.originlab.com/doc/Origin-Help/Stack-Graph - Trellis Plot | https://www.originlab.com/doc/en/Origin-Help/Trellis-Double-Y
Please let me know if any of these resources were useful, and/or if you are able to share your project file.
Best,
