Hi all.
I'm trying to restructure a worksheet with a bunch of data sets, where I have essentially three rows, e.g. for a material, and then a set of columns for variables that have been obtained from tests under 4 different testing parameters. Right now my worksheet is structured as shown in the screenshot below, where column A is the material, the Long Name of the other columns is the variable and in the "Descriptor" field is the test parameter. Each variable is an average value with the standard deviation in the column next to it.
I would now like to stack these columns based on either the Long Name or the Descriptor, maintaining the connection between the Avg. and StdDev columns. However, the "Stack Columns" function does not recognize the designation as yEr and just treats it as standard columns and therefore producing an output that looks like this (I've highlighted the cells with from the StdDev in green):
Is there any way to properly process such data sets or does this need to be done manually?
In any case, would you otherwise suggest to have a completely different structure of the base worksheet to make working with it easier?

In the Stack Columns dialog, find the Stack into Subgroups, uncheck Auto, and set it to 2. See if it helps. Thank you.

That works, thanks!
Only slight downside for that is, that the stacking conditions/identifiers are repeated for both the Avg and the StdDev (i.e. Sample : Descriptor : Avg : Descriptor : StdDev ), but that is only a minor issue.

I believe this has been brought up before. I have reported the issue to our developer to see if it needs to be addressed. For now, you will have to manually delete the repeated column.

"StackCols" doesn't account for yEr designation
