Interested in the details of how Origin implements the FFT low pass filter? (guessing... FFT, filter window (which functional form? rect?), padding and amount, IFFT)
Thanks, Fran :)
Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 7.0 sr0 Operating System: XP

Hi Fran,
You have already figured out the outline.. :) First, FFT (Details are available in Origin 7 Reference: Data Analysis: Fast Fourier Transform (FFT)). Then the spectrum is altered with a rectangular filter window. And finally, an IFFT is performed. Padding might occur before FFT. Please see the Origin 7 Reference.
When both Alt and Shift are down, click the menu item corresponding to FFT low pass filter. You will be able to see the script that performs the filtering. It will reveal more details.

Sorry, I made a mistake. It should be Shift + Ctrl.
