Origin Version 7.5 Operating System: Linux Kubuntu 6.1
Hi, due to the screen resolution I can hardly read the fonts in the script window, and in the worksheet script? I read somewhere (see below) that i should go and change it in the origin.ini file, but that does not work. Does anyone has an idea?
Changing the Font used in the Script Window
The Font that is used in the Script Window (as well as the Worksheet Script text box) is determined by the value of the Keyword FontNumber in the [Font] section of the ORIGIN.INI file. This value is zero by default, but it can be set to values from 0 to 6. Unfortunately, there is no way to preview (that I know of - any Windows Font gurus out there?) what each will look like. You must exit Origin, change the value of FontNumber and save the ORIGIN.INI file, then restart Origin to see the result. The results can vary from one system to another. On my system, a value of 4 gives the largest font. |

In another topic you said you were using Origin 7.5 under Linux in which case my answer to that topic might be right. Can't think of a reason why Origin.ini wouldn't work in Origin 6.1 so it's probably a Linux problem. Try The Origin on Linux Forum.

I tried with Origin75 under Ubuntu6.10(edgy). changing the font value to 4 in origin.ini (under Origin's user folder) works well for me.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. As mike wrote in a reply I posted in another topic, I was editing the wrong origin.ini, in the program folder and not in the user folder. Now it works well. Thanks for your help. Solving this little problem were driving me crazy. Best, Marco |
