Hello Everyone,
I need to calculate the area enclosed by a complex line as seen in the figure here. One can of course, divide the plot in two parts, find the area under the each graph, then subtract to get the total. But is there any quick and easy functionality that can do that for me?

Hello

If the data is a single set of XY data then after plotting choose Analysis:Calculus:Integrate and the area between the curves will be calculated with the resulting area in the Results Log. The sign of the area will depend on the direction of integration.

You can also use the Baseline tool (Tools> Baseline).

1. Make sure the upper curve is the active dataset.
2. Select the Use Existing Dataset option and enter the name of the lower curve (e.g., Data1_C).
3. Click the Create Baseline button.
4. Go to the Area tab and click the Use Baseline button. Area goes to Results log.
