Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 7.5
Operating System: Ubuntu Gutsy (7.10)

I have a set of data with 3 columns: A is the x axis, and B-C are the 2 different plots. I need a separate linear regression shown on the graph for each of the 2 plots; however, I am having difficulty with displaying them both. I could only have a regression for one set of values (either B or C), and when I try highlighting the column on the spreadsheet, a separate graph with only the specified regression appears (I get an error when highlighting all columns). Any suggestions?

The (Fit Linear?) menu command fits the active curve, which is checked at the bottom of the Data menu. Select (check) and fit the first dataset, then repeat with the second dataset.

You can first make a graph of both B and C cols (highlight both B and C and say make a scatter plot), and then use the Tools->Linear Fit menu item with the graph active. In the dialog that opens, go to Settings Tab and check Fit All Curves check box and then go to Operations tab and click Fit.

Also you may want to try the new version 8.0, which has more flexibility in terms of fitting multiple datasets such as fitting one-by-one, fitting all together, fitting partial range selection on multiple curves etc. You can try this in the demo version available on our website download area.

Thanks for the help! I successfully got a regression line for each dataset.
