Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 8SR1 Operating System: WinXP
Maybe I did not find the correct setting for the followings:
When we duplicate one window, sometimes I also would like to duplicate all window linked to it, and hope they will be set to a new link between them. I mean, to duplicate one set of window (including worksheet and linked plots).
And one more suggestion is can we export/import personal setting? I experienced this before: setup toolbar to my favorite position; add my own toolbar. But later computer crashed for other reason and I had to reinstall everything, or migrate to a new PC. Then I had to set up those toolbar again.
One more: do you have plan to publish a programming book about Origin? personally I do not like to read Help file to get started. If you have a printed book, that will help a lot. Or do you have a PDF version of your programming help so that I can print out?
Thanks.

Hi Sipher:
Regarding the duplicate window issue, I don't think it's a good idea to duplicate all windows linked to it, could you please tell us the whole user story? Because if we do that, it will generate lots of junk windows.
We will consider the other two suggestions, thank you very much for your feedback!

Hi Sipher,
This is already supported in Origin8 SR1.
You can export toolbar settings as opx file by:
menu item View -> Toolbars... click the Export button choose a file name for your OPX and click Save
You can restore and share the settings by installing the opx file.
Notice that this export does not contain button groups.
When sharing toolbar settings you need to make sure that before installing toolbar setting they should install their addon tools and user defined button groups.
