Hi,
I'm searching for the possibility to customize the format for units in graphs. Right now units appear as x[unit] but I'd like to appear it as x / unit.
Can anybody tell me how to customize this?

Please try changing your axis title from %(?X) to %(?X,@LA)/%(?X,@LU), %(?X,@LA) shows the long name of column and %(?X,@LU) shows the unit of column

But if there is no unit, the "/" will still appear, right?
E.g. if LongName = "ratio" and unit = "" this will result in
ratio/
With the standard settings, the parentheses around the units are only printed if there are units available.
Is it possible to get the same behavior for the "/"?
Or to replace the square-brackets in the german version with parentheses?

I am afraid that Origin can not do this currently. Thank you for you suggestion. We will consider to improve it in our next version.

Hi,
You can replace the square brackets with parantheses, the following way:
1. Open script window (menu: Window: Script Window)
2. Type the statement below and press enter at end of line:
@LUQ=1
This is a system variable that controls what will be used. Value of 1 will use ( ) and value of 2 (which is default for German Origin) will use [ ].
To set this system var for every Origin session, do the following:
1> close Origin
2> go to the EXE folder and copy the file orgsys.cnf and place the copy in you UFF (user files) folder
3> Edit the file in the user files folder and at the very end of the file add the statement
@LUQ=1;
and save file
4> restart Origin

Although orgsys.cnf works, my colleagues pointed out, it is better to place this command in macros.cnf
