Dear Origin users,
Do you know if there is a way to do Principal Component Analysis or Clustering in Origin?
Thank you, Karina |

NAG function is worked together with Origin C. You can refer to this page to see how to call NAG function in Origin C.
However, we are planning to add them in next version of Origin

Okay - now we've got a new version of Origin, so is it now possible to do PCA using the GUI in Origin? |

Hi,
We are planning to include PCA (and other multivariate analyses such as discriminant analysis & cluster analysis) in the next version of Origin, which would arrive toward the end of this year (November??).

Hi Guys,
Now at work, people, including my boss, are trying to convince me to use JMP (a program that I never used) instead of Origin to plot data and do some statistics. Since I would prefer to stick with Origin, which arguments should I use to convince them that Origin is as good as, or even better than JMP? Or JMP is simply a more powerfull tool and I've no other option besides start using JMP?
Thanks in advance for your imput. Regards, Liberty |

Dear Sam,
I need to do k-means clustering of 2000 vectors containing 6000 values each, based on the proximity of the values of the vectors in the cluster center region [2000; 3000]. Is it possible to do this using the standard Origin tools (OriginPro 8.6)?
Tanks! |
