Hello all,

Ive wrote several programs on OriginC (linked to user-defined buttons) and have packed them into an *.opx file. I used OriginPro8 SR1 v8.0773 (B773) during creating that package.

An installation of that package on same versions of Origin was always successful (just dragging the file into Origin window). But when this package installs on Origin 8G SR2 v8.0891 (B891) on WinXP SP3 the following error appears in the Script Window:

File error 5: <filename>.opx Package failed to load

No user-defined buttons appears. The *.opx file attributes is neither read-only nor hidden. When it opens via Package Manager Tool its properties showed correctly. But it doesnt install via this tool as well.

I cant find any description of this error in any accessible documentation. Has anybody any idea what seems to be the problem?

Thank you,

emily_yu

Hi,

For your problem, first, we want know if you install the package successfully.

You can do these steps:

1.Select Tools: Package Manger in the main menu to bring up the Package Manager dialog box.
2.Select File: Uninstall a package.

Do you see any package in that window? Please tell us and send your *.opx to us if possible. You can send it through this webpage:

We will give you a solution as soon as possible.
