Hello,

how to calculate bigger calculation in origin?

I have a worksheet with a lot of coloumns and rows and I want to calculate. I found the simple-math button but thats only +,-,*,/,^and thats not enough. I need Roots, ein need partial derivatives. Is this possible in origin?

You want to use the Set Column Values feature. Right-click on any column and choose that option from the context menu.

Use the Set Values dialog box to define a mathematical formula that generates or transforms a dataset. This formula can reference other Origin workbook datasets; it can incorporate various Origin built-in functions (trigonometric, statistical, NAG, etc.); and it can execute a LabTalk script prior to calculating column values.

For a reference of the functions available to you, please select Origin's Help:Programming:LabTalk menu. In the Help file, expand the Language Reference book and you will see Function Reference.
