I'm running Origin 8 on XP and there doesn't seem to be any way to undelete a graph. The deleted graph doesn't show up in XPs Recycle Bin, for example. Am I missing something?
Is it something because of your Windows setting? Say, if you have set up skipping the recycle bin and deleting the files directly, this will affect all files, including Origin graph files on your harddisk.
I don't think so. Everything I delete from Explorer goes into the recycle bin. Is there something in Origin that lets you delete directly that might have been set accidentally? And are you saying that when you right-click a graph from the Project Explorer and select Delete that the graph shows up in the XP Recycle bin?
There is no Recycle Bin for Origin's Project Explorer, so if you delete a Child Window, that window cannot be recovered. Undo is available in many places so - for example - if you delete data in a worksheet or move or delete objects on a graph you can use Edit : Undo (Ctrl+Z) to recover the previous state.
Note however that there is a default setting in Origin to save a backup copy of a project whenever you save an opened project file. So even if you save an opened project where you deleted a child window, the BACKUP.OPJ file found in your User Files Folder should have deleted child window.
