hi all,

We have some problems with printing high density graph since Windows was
upgraded. First we have used Origin 3 but we still have the same behavior
with Origin 4.1.
Only, the HP4ML printer accept working.
Considering the memory warning of the print manager we have upgraded
the HP4L from 1 to 2Mo but the result is the same.
The driver is HPPCL5MS.DRV Ver 4.00 .950, GPC 3.78

Thanks for your Help.

Windows 95 problems with complex graphics

I can refer you to an article I read in the 12 March 1996 issue of P.C.Magazine
which said there was a fix for this Windows 95 problem available from
Microsoft
in their knowledge base : http://www.microsoft.com/kb/
In summary -
1) DoubleClick on the printer's icon in Control Panel (or
Start:Settings:Printers)
2) RightClick on the printer you are trying to use and select Properties
3) Click on Details Tab and select Spool Settings
4) Set Spool Data Format to RAW (OK)
5) Click on Graphics Tab and select Use Raster Graphics
6) Click on Fonts Tab and select Print True Type as Graphics
7) Click on Device Options Tab, enter the true amount of printer memory, and
select Aggressive memory tracking
This is supposed to allow complex print jobs that worked in Windows 3.1 to
work
in Windows 95.

re; Win95 problems printing complex graphics

I experienced this same problem while printing certain pages from a .pdf
(Acrobat) file, and the answer given in a previous post did solve the problem
for me. For those interested the full answer is given at
http://www.microsoft.com/kb/articles/q138/6/00.htm
