Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): Origin 8 pro Operating System: windows 7,
Hi, could anyone here help me with fitting multiple peaks. The problem is my spectrum have 10 peaks i.e, but I only want to fit 5 of the 10 peaks and those peaks that I want to fit are not all close, they are separated by the peaks that I don't want to fit. I know I can select the data range for each peak and fit them one by one, but it would take a lot of time, so I wonder if there is a way in origin that allow you to chose the peaks that you want to fit of all peaks found from find peak function. Thank you |

From Origin menu, select Analysis: Peaks and Baseline: Peak Analyzer. In the Find Peaks page of the Peak Analyzer dialog, clear Enable Auto Find check box, and you can add, modify or delete peaks. For more information, you can refer to the page. http://wiki.originlab.com/~originla/howto/index.php?title=Tutorial:Peak_Fitting_with_Preset_Peak_Parameters
There is an alternative to fit specified peaks. From Origin menu, select Analysis: Peaks and Baseline: Fit Multiple Peaks. Select the number of peaks to fit from the Number of Peaks drop-down list in the opened dialog. Then select the peaks by double clicking in the graph.
