Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 7.5 SR0
Operating System: Win XP SP3

Hi,

I have a strange problem with Origin 7.5 on my computer. When I try to access Plot Setup, Theme Gallery or other things new to Origin 7.5, written in Origin C, I only get a window saying "Compiler error", or nothing happens at all. I also tried compiling some of the example OriginC files and I get the "C:\Program Files\OriginLab\OriginPro75\OriginC\system\internal.c(345) :Error, cannot find DLL @OUTL for external function" error.

Everything was working till several weeks ago. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, "repairing" (from installer), I even purged the registry of every mention of Origin after the uninstall. I also tried
different paths for user files that Origin asks about at first start. Nothing helped.

Do you have any idea how to solve this problem? A reinstall of Windows is not an option. Origin works well on other computers. So it is clear that the problem is caused by interference with some other software, but that doesn't help me.

Thank you very much for any suggestions!
Pavel

Thanks, I tried it, but it didn't have any effect. vsflex8l.ocx seems to be correctly registered. Even though it didn't work, I suspect that the problem is something along those lines. I'm afraid it would take a Windows expert to find out what the problem really is :(

If you get the updated DLL file from here, you should no longer see a problem:

However, this updated DLL is also included in SR6, and since you have SR0, please select Help:Check for Updates to get the latest update.
