Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System:windows xp

Dear ALL,

Really need some help.

I am trying to fit a curve (lorentzian curve) with 200 points (for example).

and I am using the fit-multipeaks option in Analysis.

The question is what I need to do so that the fitted curve can have more points than the raw data has (for example, 1000 points)?

I have access to Origin. 6, 7 or 8.

Thanks a lot.

Hi,

In version 8:

1> Open the fitter dialog (if you already did the fit, click on the lock in the output and select Change Parameters to re-open dialog).
2> Click on Settings Tab
3> Click on Fitted Curves
4> On the right side, expand tree to show Fitted Curves Plot
5> Look at X Data Type sub branch

This branch has controls including setting fit curve to same as data points, custom settings with user-specified number of points, custom range for begin and end x values etc.
