Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 7.5 SR6
Operating System: Vista 64 bit

My lower X-axis (X1) plots wavelength in nm, and I've created a second X-axis (X2) that plots energy in eV (X2 = 1240/X1). That part looks good, but the tick marks for X2 only appear where there is a corresponding X1 tick mark. In other words, the tick marks in X2 are spaced evenly, but because the axis is the reciprocal of X1, the energies are not evenly spaced. Is there any way to make X2 still dependent on X1, but vary the spacing between the tick marks so that the differences between the displayed energies will be constant?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi,

Please see:
http://qhwiki.originlab.com/~originla/howto/index.php?title=QuickHelp:How_do_I_add_a_second_nonlinear_x_or_y_axis_to_my_graph_layer

This was written for 8.x, but I think the 2nd method works for 7.5 as well.

Latest version is 8.1 if you want to download and try in that one.
