I have fitted a sinus function to a set of data and from the plot it seems like a good fit. The observed (calculated) Chi-square value is 30.5 and the expected Chi-square value is 34.

Are these Chi-square values enough to say something about the probabilty of my fit describing the data correctly, or do I need something else for that?

Hi:

It's hard to tell. How about r square, p value, etc? Maybe this page can help.

Thanks
Larry
