My Origin stopped working. The program starts correctly with a working sheet open. I can type number in the columns. As soon as I try to plot I get the message "Origin 6.1 has stopped working". Any ideas will be very much appreciated. My Origin was working totally alright but dunno what's up now. Thank you much.
Origin 6.1 is very old and is not supported on Windows 7; however, if it was working ok, you might try changing your Windows default printer from Control Panel. Set it to document writer (something very generic) and then restart Origin.
Yes, it did work, thank you so much. I recently installed a new printer HP Deskjet 1600, and it was set as default, which caused this problem with Origin 6.1. Now I set another HP (laser) printer as default and the problem with Origin is gone. Mysteries of technology. Thank you very much.
